The rumbly jeep Wrangler pulled up to the red light at the hospital exit and for a brief moment Susie pretended to play drums to Keith Urban on her steering wheel... until she reached into her huge purse and pulled out her bright red cell phone and punched in a familiar number.

A bright pink phone buzzed with a girly tune on the coffee table in Mary-Lou's living room. Mitzy, her ferret, wandered over to it curiously and sniffed, chattering animatedly until the blonde wandered out of the bathroom towelling her hair dry. With a smile, she read her cousin's text.

I think if I catch him staring at me again I'll punch his ass out!
Then, a moment later.
He gave up the right to stare when he broke up with me. Bastard.
