After much discussion, we the Admins have decided to implement a new rule effective retrospectively that will affect all current and future canon characters.
Due to the nature of Nolan's Batverse, and the more 'realistic' feel he has striven to give the characters we all know and love, we would like to see much of the same when reading canon applications. Steering away from more 'mystical' powers will be much appreciated, though a certain level will be tolerated if it is well explained and particularly so if it is well written. Try to put a new spin on your old favourites and think of new, modern-day reasons why they are now the way they are instead of just going with the comic-book verson.
Also, seeing as Batman is a relatively new concept for Gotham and has only been around for a few years, if you are applying for a canon character that he (or any other canon for that matter) has not met during the course of the two movies available to us for reference then keep in mind as you write your application that your character will not have an established relationship with any other canon character. Relationships will need to be established either through PMing the player of that canon, or through the course of normal RP.
