His words are more important than ever now that he is no longer there to speak them thanks to the murderous rampage of the once heroic Batman. Without their saviors new Gothamites are taking it upon themselves to clean up their city, but there are those who see a Batmanless Gotham as a sweet opportunity. With Commissioner Gordon concentrating on finding the Bat and the Bat concentrating on evading the police, who is left to stop a new generation of villains? The Mob regains their strength with every appeal they make in court and with Maroni, Gambol, The Chechen, and Don Falcone out of the picture new bosses are stepping up to lead.
